Welcome to De Villiers Graaff High School in Villiersdorp, where we offer our learners the opportunity to rise and reach their full potential!

What makes us the best choice for your high school career?

EVERY INDIVIDUAL MATTERS.

We are only an hour’s drive from Cape Town airport and transport is arranged for our learners. Our school has a rich in tradition and we are the jewel school in the Boland. With 372 learners, there is little peer pressure here and learners thrive in a safe environment. Three of our four hostels have already been fully upgraded and modernized with wi-fi and DSTV. Our hostels provide an affordable, structured, caring learning and living environment.

Academics:

We boast excellent matric pass rates and quality teachers who will really go the extra mile for each learner. We have also been named on the Maths Top 10 list for schools in the Western Cape for the last 4 years, as published in Die Burger.

Extra classes are offered after school and are free. We have a wide variety of subject choices and are a dual-medium school, which ensures that learners are better equipped for after-school education.

Sport:

We are the 2019 South African High Schools Golf Champions! A brilliant achievement for the second time in 4 years. It is truly an amazing achievement for a small rural school that competes with all high schools and golf academies nationwide.

We are a Cricket Focus School and have 2 full time cricket coaches who make a huge difference in cricket development – for our girls too.

Growing numbers of learners in recent years have also significantly improved the quality and performance of all our other sports – from rugby, netball, tennis, swimming, jukskei, chess, hockey to athletics.

Cultural:

We regularly host drama or musical productions such as Beauty and the Beast, and offer a vast variety of other opportunities – from choir, chamber choir, CSA, Junior Town Council, art, drama, journalism, photography, Taalbond Bonanza, Red Jacket Project, ATKV, First Aid, Biggest Deal to community projects. Our Dissie-Band is awesome! The band ensures a wonderful spirit among the students, whether in assemblies, on the sports field or at our many other functions. The school calendar is always jam-packed with social activities for our learners.

Join our values-driven, exciting learning culture where we focus on academics, but where we also ensure that learners have many opportunities to develop holistically into well-rounded citizens who will take responsibility, take chances, and add value to the community.

Kind Akkedis greetings,

Me G Loubser
